Let’s figure this out together

No big title here, just a Filipino American lady who’s been in ministry for a while and loves helping folks out along the way. I’m here to share my thoughts about theology, community, justice, and hope.

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Cronlund was born in the midwest, but raised in The Philippines. She sees the world through the lens of a multi-ethnic woman and third-culture kid.

Elizabeth has a background in Federal Disaster Management, working with AmeriCorps to respond to Hurricane Katrina and continuing for a few years after serving as an Advisory Board Member for their National Civilian Community Corps federal program. While at the University of Florida, she was active in Asian American Leadership development, helping to found the Southeast Regional Conference of Asian American Leaders (SERCAAL).

For over a decade, Elizabeth has been working in Community Development for a multi-site interdenominational church in Orlando, FL. She builds relationships with local organizations and helps guide how the church invests its time, talent, and people into the local community. Elizabeth adheres to Asset-Based Community Development principles in all of her work. She sees creating connections across many levels of relationships, interpersonal up to institutional, as necessary for communities to thrive.

She facilitates training on engaging issues of justice within her church as well as through other organizations in Central Florida. She is an active member of the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA). She helps lead their AAPIs in CCD affinity group, is a member of their TransformED team, and helped create their Education Equity Handbook.

Elizabeth is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), and currently attends Northern Seminary.

Ministry and Development Work

Teaching and Speaking

I teach seminars and workshops for various events and create customized content for organizations.

I speak, in person and virtually, at events of all sizes, from smaller staff retreats to local and national conferences, as well as awareness events.

I focus on issues of equity and justice, cross-cultural bridge-building, conflict resolution, and asset-based community development. I teach from my own experience as an AAPI Christian woman.

Coaching and Consulting

Every person is unique, as is every organization, so there is no one-size solution or path that can meet the needs and goals of your context.

I coach young, primarily, BIPOC women to integrate their faith into their everyday lives and let their skills shine. We work to reconcile disembodied faith and heal church hurt that emboldens them and their connection to our Creator.

For small and startup nonprofits, I help define realistic goals and rework systems that are inefficient.

Organizations and leaders I love

Check out some fantastic organizations that I’ve had the pleasure of working with or just admire for the way they are making the world a better place.
